An excellent example of the SNOT building technique, this model is one to be studied. Notice the tips of the wings, not only side facing studs but hinges too. If you haven't done so yet check out his stuff here. I've been a fan of Cowboy Bebop for a long time, and I have tried many times unsuccessfully to build a Sword Fish II. Have you ever Built one?
